| Paid Surveys: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly |
|
|
The first question you may have is, "Can I make money with paid surveys?". The answer is yes, you can make money with paid surveys, BUT you need to be careful about how you go about doing it, and you need to realize that you may find yourself feeling ripped off by joining a paid surveys website.
The Good:
There are a bunch of paid survey websites out there which will pay you for your opinion. They will pay you because they are doing market research for companies which need information about you, the consumer. A good paid surveys company will pay you somewhere between a few pennies and $75 or more for each research survey you complete.
The Bad:
There is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 paid surveys companies out there, some of which are very good, but MOST of which are very bad. The good paid surveys companies will pay you great money to take surveys, but the bad paid surveys will do nothing but sell your email address and send you spam, or send you surveys which will only compensate you with lame prizes.
The Ugly:
A lot of paid survey databases use deceptive advertising practices, like showing you earning potential of something like $5000 a month, which is nearly impossible to achieve with paid surveys...although you just might get 500 spams email a month, and for the record, THAT IS NOT AN EXAGERATION. Additionally, many paid surveys databases are notorious for NOT giving refunds they promise in their guarantee when you email them to request one...instead, they just ignore you.
Conclusion:
You CAN make money doing paid surveys, but if you do sign up and pay for a paid surveys database, you are likely to get lots of spam, few survey opportunities, and will have difficulty getting a refund from the paid surveys product. If you want to make money online, a great alternative to paid surveys is to learn internet marketing. |

I'll second those comments. My own experiences with going the paid survey route were dismal at best.
The worst problem I experienced was all the junk email that I started receiving. It must have taken me 2 - 3 months just to get unsubscribed to all those mailing lists.
I've kept on with a couple of the survey companies because some of their surveys are fun to do. I don't get any monetory compensation; an entry into a sweepstakes or some member points is all.
In my own experience of the 3 dozen plus survey companies I signed up with only about 3 or 4 send out surveys on a regular basis _________________ Learn Internet Marketing with one of these programs -

Agree. I also tried signing up to sites offering paid surveys. The fact is that the majority of them do not offer real surveys, instead they offer "surveys" that require you to complete some offer to pay for a trial membership of some sort to get paid. _________________ Easy To Start! Been there, won't do it again. I made the mistake and learned from it. Oh yeah, I made nothing but had to stop using my old email addy because of all the spam coming into it from who knows where. _________________ •Part-time home business. Perfect for stay-at-home
