| Avoiding Job Application Scams on Craigslist |
|
|
If you happen to be searching for a job on Craigslist, I would advise extreme caution regarding the legitimacy of any posting. Here is a typical scenario. You browse Craigslist for jobs in your area finding an interesting listing like the following:

Full and part time positions as a Medical Receptionist are now available. Will be responsible for checking patient appointments, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing medical records.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office required
- Entry to mid-level experience in the field a must
You reply to the listed Gmail account. After sending your email, you get an instant reply back, something like this:

Thank you for your interest in the Veterinary Receptionist position we have posted through Craigslist. To complete the application process please click on the link below.

The website may vary, but this website is part of a vast network of scam sites designed to make money off you by pushing you into continuing education. You may start getting calls from this number: 6446 520 0695 Of course these domains all hide behind private registrations, listed only as Destiny Careers. |
